From Rebrand to Radiance: The Timeless Elegance of Moelle Essentials
How Doyinsola Ogbeifun is redefining occasion wear with a focus on fit, femininity, and confidence
When you meet Doyinsola Ogbeifun, founder of Moelle Essentials, there’s an instant calm that draws you in, the kind that comes from someone who understands grace, structure, and the quiet power of confidence.
Her journey into fashion wasn’t a loud or impulsive one. It was built over time, shaped by observation, curiosity, and an ever-present desire to create clothes that make women feel as good as they look.
A Pause, A Rebirth
Moelle Essentials first came to life in 2018, born from Doyinsola’s vision to design elegant, well-fitted pieces for women of all shapes and sizes. But as with most creative journeys, there was a moment of pause — a three-year break that became a period of reflection and rediscovery.
In 2022, Moelle Essentials returned rebranded, refocused, and ready to redefine occasion wear.
The brand found its rhythm again, this time with a clearer purpose: to celebrate diverse body types through elegant, accessible designs that don’t compromise on quality or comfort.
Fashion That Fits Every Woman
Walk into Moelle Essentials’ world, and you’ll find pieces that speak of balance, classic yet modern, bold yet feminine. From flowing dresses that move like poetry to structured fits that celebrate the body’s natural silhouette, every design is made to make women stand tall.
Whether you’re petite, curvy, or tall, Moelle offers both ready-to-wear (RTW) and made-to-measure pieces. The goal? To eliminate the struggle of finding occasionwear that truly fits.
As Doyinsola puts it,
“Elegance should never be a privilege. It should be accessible — and it should fit.”
The Moelle Woman
The Moelle woman knows her worth. She loves sophistication without shouting it. She values quality but also seeks versatility. And above all, she wears her confidence like her favourite dress effortlessly.
Every piece by Moelle Essentials is designed with that woman in mind. From the first sketch to the final stitch, Doyinsola ensures that comfort, style, and precision go hand-in-hand.
Redefining Occasionwear
Moelle Essentials has carved a niche in occasionwear, reimagining what it means to dress up. It’s not just about sequins or silhouettes; it’s about emotion. The feeling of slipping into a dress that fits perfectly. The quiet excitement of looking in the mirror and saying, Yes, this is me.
With elegant fabrics, timeless cuts, and detail-oriented craftsmanship, Moelle’s creations are meant to stay in your wardrobe, and your memory for years to come.
The Future of Moelle
As Moelle Essentials continues to grow, one thing remains clear: the brand isn’t chasing trends — it’s setting a standard.
It’s about creating clothes that tell stories of women who rise, reinvent, and walk into every room like it was designed for them.
And in that story, Moelle Essentials isn’t just making dresses. It’s making statements — one confident woman at a time.
It’s the season for gifting and I won’t lie, I love receiving gifts [lol]. Who doesn’t? I am yet to meet anyone who doesn’t like to receive a gift. Even the “tough guys” would admit to receiving gifts, especially if they get what they truly want or like. That said, Christmas is around the corner and most people have started shopping for their loved ones, friends and even companies. If you haven’t started, then pay close attention. This is for you. Late shopping can be overwhelming and expensive, I know from experience.
Okay, let’s focus [lol]. Whilst I believe that in gifting, thoughts behind the gifts matter, I also believe that the gifts should be worth it or at least be something of value to the person receiving them. It could be something of sentimental value or even money [if the person wishes to trade it in later…]. The point is, know who you are gifting.
I’ve listed out a few gift items that I believe never run out of style. To see more of each brands product, all you have to do is click on the name of the brand. Let’s get started.
Cards
The right card can leave one swooning and it has the right amount of sentimental value for any occasion. Like these ones below

Modara Naturals

This blend is infused with Turmeric, an age-old Asian ingredient, known to brighten and even skin tone. It contains relaxing essential oils and helps in clearing breakouts on the face and body.
The skin is important and so is the hair and that is why this next product is a must-have, gift item.

The ELOY Conference and Awards 2021 is here and I’m here to give you the scoop on everything you need to know.
Tewa Onasanya, Founder of The ELOY Awards Foundation wants people to know and understand the hidden fact that when one woman wins, it increases the chances of other women winning and serves as inspiration for other women to win. She says “we are not in competition with one another, we should be collaborating to lift one another up”.
That is why the theme for the ELOY Conference and Awards 2021 is Collaboration For Sustainable Empowerment. #whenshewinsyouwin.
The ELOY Foundation has moved the needle from just conversations about Sustaining Women Empowerment to taking action in providing a platform for Women in MSMEs to thrive and sustain their businesses through access to mentoring, training, affordable finance, grants and networking opportunities.
What to expect?
Come November 26th, the ELOY Conference will host speakers and participants to presentations and panel discussions focusing on the theme of the ELOYs 2021. About the ELOYs
The aim of the ELOY awards is to recognize Nigerian outstanding women and their achievements and roles in society. To increase the economic visibility of women in Nigeria, to create a platform for networking hence enhancing communication links to encourage women into businesses and to support the work being done by Nigerian women to improve themselves and Nigeria. This event is also being used as a platform to continue to increase awareness for cervical cancer which kills one woman every hour in Nigeria.
Impact of the ELOY Awards so far;
The ELOYs have been awarded to 205 women to date, who have gone on to be better at what they do.
We have been able to enrol 40 women in MSME’s onto the ELOY Foundation Sustainable Empowerment Program (SEP) that started in 2020, these small business owners were mentored for a period of six months and they had access to entrepreneurial training every month. 10 of them were awarded a grant.
It has increased motivation in all women as everyone wants to be nominated for an ELOY at one point during their career or business.
Improved self-development in awardees and nominees, that have gone on to make a huge impact on their sector.
A platform that has helped identify excellence in the creative and business sectors. They have gone on to become household names (Eno Essien, Sisi Yemmie, Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay, Olamide, Korede Bello to mention a few)
ELOY recognizes categories and identifies industries where people think women are not active or striving in.
The ELOYs has become a permanent fixture on people’s calendars, as everyone in Nigeria looks forward to these prestigious awards every year with great expectations and trust.

So many moments to relive but here are some of my favourite savouring moments at the ACE Awards 2021.

Then there was the photobooth. It turned out to be a huge side attraction and there were lots of display. Take a look.
The exhibition.
Of course, the exhibitiors were actively present, showcasing their lovely products for shoppers and all in attendance. Some of the products are:

The African Creative Exhibition and Awards 2021 would never be forgotten in a hurry. Although there were a few bumps along the way, it was filled with pleasant surprises. Before we get to the bumps and the surprises, let’s break down the process for becoming the winner.
Nominations.
The nominations for the ACE Awards 2021 opened to the general public on the 30th of August 2021 and was announced on social media via the official Instagram page – @ace_awards. An activity schedule was put out, outlining the processes and what to expect.
Members, followers, friends and family [excluding the organizers and her workers] were allowed to nominate creative entrepreneurs for 15 different categories. This ran for 4 weeks. The nominations ended on the 26th of September. By the 27th of September, the organizers began collating the results. Mind you the rules were spelt out clearly, which are:
You can nominate more than 1 creative for a category
The nominees with the highest votes, move on to the next round – Top 5
By submitting an entry, the entrant agrees to accept the terms and conditions as listed in the submission form.
The entrant also agrees that the project is eligible for entry.
The entrant also understands that the entry products are made-in-Nigeria or made-in-Africa.
The top 5 nominees were announced on the 4th of October. And on the 5th [the very next day], the voting for the top 3 commenced. People were expected to vote for the top 5 that was announced, while the top 5 nominees were also expected to get their 1-minute pitch ready for submission.
Click on the image to read more on the FAQs
FAQs regarding this was put out on the official Instagram page of the ACE Awards. The voting ended on the 12th of October.
The top 3 were announced on the 14th of October and the nominees were expected to submit their 1-minute pitch video that same day.
Then comes the Judges.
It was announced that 3 judges would deliberate and pick the winners for each category based off on the top 3 nominees. The Judges are:
Lanre Adisa [CEO Noah’s Ark]
Yetunde Aina [Founder Jadeas Trust]
Lanre Basamta [Group Head, Mobile Financial Services, Interswitch Group]
The Nominees’ business was judged based on:
Impact: Is your business demonstrating some impact already in the economy?
Job Creation: Has the business created some jobs and has the potential to create more high-quality jobs?
Quality of Work: Does the business show great quality and competence to compete globally?
Customer Satisfaction: Is the company socially present and accepted by consumers?
Scalability: Does the company already earn revenues and does it have the potential to scale.
The judging process took 3 hours and 45 minutes, with the judges deliberating and watching 45 entries. They were deliberate, impartial, fair and objective. All that was left was collating the scores and results, which was then announced during the ACE Awards – 29th of October.
And there you have it! The process of becoming the winner for the 15 different categories at the ACE Awards 2021. It was not a small feat! Congratulations to all the winners and all who made it to each stage. We celebrate you.
